Climax Molybdenum PGNAA Design & Installation.

Halyard provided detailed engineering services for the incorporation of a PGNAA Analyzer (Prompt Gamma Neutron Activation) into the existing roaster circuit at Climax Molybdenum’s plant in Fort Madison, Iowa.

A critical consideration for this project was that the layout and installation of this new equipment needed to be incorporated into a congested plant environment without causing unplanned downtime during the installation. Halyard’s design allows for an optical weigh scale and PGNAA to be installed and commissioned in advance and, once this is complete, the new equipment can be seamlessly commissioned.

The installation of the new equipment will be completed later this year and Halyard will provide construction and commissioning assistance to Climax.
