Nechalacho Vital Metals Process Plant

Nechalacho Mine.

Bulk sorting project at a remote cold-weather mine site & Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Assistance for Phase 1 of the Vital Metals process plant

The Nechalacho Mine is a remote site accessible by ground only during the winter via ice roads. Halyard designed, supplied, and commissioned all associated services to the TOMRA XRT ore sorter, including the structures and conveyors which were required to be self supporting off levelled ground since concrete works on site were not an option.

All the equipment was designed as containerized or modular units to facilitate delivery and installation. Prior to shipping to site for construction and commissioning, all equipment was successfully pre-commissioned.

Halyard also worked on phase 1 of the REE process plant, including a supplying the DMS plant in Saskatoon where the concentrate from Nechalacho will be processed.
